Michelle L. Christensen has extensive experience representing clients in family law matters such as divorce, custody, child support, alimony, asset/debt distribution, adoption, and guardianship. Michelle understands family law cases can be emotionally draining and can offer not only her expertise and aggressive advocacy, but her compassion and understanding as well.
Michelle is also a qualified Private Guardian ad Litem representing children in cases where abuse or neglect have been alleged or where serious disputes regarding parent time arise. Michelle previously served as a Judge for Salt Lake and South Salt Lake Justice Courts.
When Michelle initially began practicing law she had the unique opportunity to serve as Associate General Counsel for two major companies. As Associate General Counsel, she oversaw and identified legal issues that affected the companies and negotiated complex business contracts and guided the companies through various lawsuits. Within her first year of practicing as an attorney, Michelle was voted by the members of the Utah State Bar as one of the top 52 Corporate Attorneys in Utah.
Michelle has also served on the Board of Directors for the Utah Humane Society from 2004-2012
